Exterior

It is starting things off here with the exterior style. This is one of those refreshes that you’ll only notice the changes if you see them side by side with the old model Upfront. The grille has been ever so slightly reworked, and it’s still black across all trims. But, the more noticeable change is the body-colored piece that now goes through the fog light housing. However, one small adjustment is a new black accent inside of the house.

Finally, at the bottom, all but the base LX will have fog lights as far as all the rest of the styling it receives similar small changes like the body-colored bar that goes across the back bumper open. Now it does continue to look significantly sporty-rear than the sedan.

Thanks to not one but two standard spoilers Plus, if you choose either of the sport trims, you would have dual sensor mounts at exhaust pipes. The only part that looks like the sedan is the taillights that share the same boomerang shape.

So overall, while the design changes are not significant, the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback has always been one of the most distinctively styled products in the entire class. Now outside of the sheet metal, every trim receives new wheel designs, especially in the EX Trims. We now have a dark finish 17-inch alloy, while both the sport and sport-touring come with new and very nice-looking 18-inch contrast alloys, even the LX gets a different 16-inch alloy.

More importantly, though, the entire Honda sensing suite is standard across the board. That means even the base LX will come with collision mitigation braking Lane Keeping Assist, Auto high beam headlights and adaptive cruise control with low speed follow. That’s something that very few of the rivals can match, but that’s pretty much sums up the exterior updates.

Talk about the powertrain Now you notice I said powertrain, not powertrains. That continues to be one of the benefits of the set catch over the sedan is that you skip the base powertrain. You’re going to go straight to the 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder even on the base model. Wow that’s going to continue to produce 174 horsepower or 180 horsepower if you choose the sport or sport touring and 162 pound-feet of torque.

Now your engine is pair to a continuously variable transmission in most cases. However, the sport and now for 2020 these sport Touring’s not something people can ask. You can get a six-speed manual and even on the fully loaded model.

But anyway, that’s enough of the specs. Let’s proceed ahead including taking it out on the road All right, so first take it off here in the 2020 Honda Civic hatchback We have driven this vehicle before it one or two times, and every time I have to say, we are just very impressed when we first get onto the throttle In this class of vehicle. It’s very typical to feel underpowered to feel so slow and sluggish. Perhaps make a lot of noise You know, but this 1.5-liter turbo, it’s small but mighty.

It does produce more power than a lot of the competition. So, you’re starting with that nearly 180 horsepower but, it feels like ample power. Especially when you first take off, they have it tuned in such a way that with the throttle response and stuff when you first take off. It’s like wow, you will feel impress. Now, of course, doesn’t taper off yes; it does because this is not a super-powerful engine overall, it is 180 horsepower and something small that’s right.

Now, as far as the CVT goes, a place that most of them are going to have that equip on them, we don’t have any paddle shifters for a simulation or anything like that on this trim. But we have to say the CVT does an excellent job on to make some of the best CVTs. Because they’re not obtrusive, they kind of blend into the background, we haven’t noticed any droning, even when you’re hard on the throttle and the 1.5 is already so quiet that It just like it.

Civic Hatchback Price

The pricing is concerned for the 2020 Honda Civic hatchback. You aren’t going to see very much of a price increase over the sedan model.

For the very base LX, you’re going to come in at twenty-one thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, which is a little bit less than the 2019 version. That’s nice, and then if you want to go for the Sport trim, that’s going to be twenty-three thousand five-fifty.

The EX Trim is twenty-four thousand one hundred fifty, which is what we have here. The EXL Navi is twenty-five thousand three-fifty, and then finally of the Sport Touring model at twenty-eight thousand eight hundred fifty.
